Effects of emotionally intelligent labor strategies on civil servants’ job satisfaction in An Giang province: The moderating effects of emotional self-efficacy
Abstract:
This study examined the role of emotionally intelligent labor strategies on job satisfaction of civil servants. The moderating roles of emotional self-efficacy dimensions on these relationships were also investigated. Data were collected from 1034 civil servants in An Giang province through both online and offline surveys. Multiple regression and interaction moderation were performed by SPSS software. The results show that deep acting and expression of natural felt emotions significantly affected job satisfaction. Two dimensions of emotional self-efficacy (using and managing your own emotions and dealing with emotions in others) played important moderating roles in these relationships. This provides insight into the influence of emotional factors on work outcomes and suggests ways to create a working environment that supports the development of emotional competence in civil servants.
