Green Human Resource Management and Sustainable Performance of Small and Medium Enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City
Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of green human resource management (GHRM) on the sustainable performance of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City. The paper uses the Ability-Motivation- Opportunity (AMO) theory, structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and survey data from 230 employees and managers from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Ho Chi Minh City. The results show that GHRM has a significant impact on sustainable performance. In addition, the paper also shows that organizational citizenship behavior towards the environment (OCBE) and green organizational culture (GOC) play a mediating role in describing the link between GHRM and sustainable performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Ho Chi Minh City. The findings of this paper provide practical value for managers in selecting GHRM, and enhancing OCBE and GOC to promote business sustainability.
