The impact of technology absorptive capacity on technology performance of logistics service enterprises
Abstract:
The study analyzes how technology absorptive capacity affects the technology performance of logistics service enterprises. The study uses a quantitative method to examine 248 logistics companies in new Ho Chi Minh City. The results show that the three components of absorptive capacity, including assimilation, transformation, and exploitation, have a significant impact on digital transformation, thereby positively affecting the technology performance. However, knowledge acquisition does not have a significant direct impact on digital transformation. This shows that simply accessing external knowledge is not enough, logistics enterprises must proactively process and apply this technological knowledge to create value. Moreover, digital transformation also plays a role in partially mediating the impact of technology absorptive capacity on the technology performance of enterprises. Thereby, it proposes implications to improve the technology performance of logistics enterprises through digital transformation.
