Value Co-Creation Towards University Sustainability in Vietnam
Abstract:
In the context of higher education moving toward sustainable development, value co-creation between students and universities is considered an important mechanism. However, empirical evidence integrating both student and university resources that influence the sustainability of higher education through the mechanism of value co-creation remains limited. Based on survey data from 388 students in Ho Chi Minh City, this study finds that student resources (social capital, self-efficacy, and learner participation) and university resources (student- centered orientation and digital service quality) positively influence value co-creation (R2 = 0.702). Through the mediating mechanism of value co-creation, these factors also strongly affect the sustainability of higher education (R2 = 0.735). The study contributes by integrating service-dominant logic and resource-based view theory to clarify the mechanism of resource integration through value co-creation in pursuit of sustainable development.
