Green Consumption Trends and Challenges for Retail Businesses in Ho Chi Minh City

The increasing threats to the global environment have positioned green consumption as a crucial element in achieving sustainable development. This study investigates the rise of green consumption trends in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), focusing on the factors that drive consumers to select environmentally friendly products and services. It also identifies the challenges retail enterprises face in adapting to this trend, including limitations on capital investment, outdated production technologies, and incomplete legal frameworks. The study subsequently proposes solutions to help Vietnamese retailers overcome these obstacles, enhance consumer awareness of green consumption, and promote sustainable development nationwide.
